One of a kind vases

Studio Terrae’s philosophy is to model the right and perfect vase for every type of plant and location. The vases presented on Studio Terrae’s website are a starting point for custom-made creations adapted to the specific wishes and needs of each customer. Shape, size and colour can be chosen and combined to create vases that become unique pieces. Write at contact@studioterrae.com to request a quotation. All vases are entirely hand-crafted, without any use of mould. Slight variations between the chosen model and the actual vase are natural, they are an integral part of the production and philosophy of Studio Terrae.

Drainage system

It consists of a double internal base that does not alter the purity of the vase’s lines and maintains a water balance in order to avoid unnecessary stress to the plants. Small holes on the base/side of the vase maintain proper aeration and allow to avoid stagnation by emptying the excess water.

Indoor — Outdoor

The vases are designed for indoor use. For a use outside, Studio Terrae realizes on request vases with cold-resistant clays, without double internal base but with a simple hole.

Colour

Every effort is made to ensure colours appear as realistic as possible. However, due to the constraints of digital reproduction on different web browsers, the exact colour depiction cannot be guaranteed. Please email contact@studioterrae.com if you would like to request colour samples.

A living material

Clay is a natural and “alive” material. As such it can change over time by showing traces of every natural element it comes into contact with (oxygen, water, mineral salts). Slight alterations of colour on the surface of the vase may appear. This phenomenon is a totally natural process and does not affect its quality. On the contrary, it is a very important indication of the close relationship between the clay, the soil and the plant. Studio Terrae is not responsible for traces that may appear on the surface of the vases.

Production time

All the vases are entirely hand-crafted and made to order. Delivery times may vary according to the quantity and the type of vases requested. Production time is confirmed during the order.

Care and use

The vases are accompanied with small pieces of felt already cut to size to be fixed directly on its foot. They will protect the surface where the vase will be installed. In any case, ceramic pieces must be handled delicately to ensure that the items remain undamaged. Studio Terrae is not responsible for damage caused by improper cleaning solutions or mishandling.

Packing

In line with the philosophy of Studio Terrae, each vase is packed without any use of plastic: kraft paper, natural straw, cardboard, paper tape and paper labels. Any part of it can be composted, recycled or reused in order to participate to a circular economy.

Shipment

The vases can be picked-up directly at the studio in North Italia (Provincia di Udine). On request, Studio Terrae can also help organize the shipment. It will be the customer’s responsibility to pay the shipping, insurance, and any customs fees.

Payment

According to the customer’s preference, the payment can be made:
- 100% before production;
- 50 % before production and 50 % before the shipment.
Payment by wire transfer. The vases will be released once the full payment has been received.

Returns

Due to their unique and personalized nature, the vases cannot be returned or exchanged unless a damage occurs during shipment.

Governing law

The agreement to sell and purchase items from Studio Terrae shall in all respects be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Italy, excluding the conflict of law rules.

Jurisdiction

The Court of Udine (UD) - Italy has jurisdiction for any dispute.
